Poetry event Mehfil-e-Mushaira organized

          Kathmandu/ The Embassy of Pakistan, Kathmandu Nepal organized a Mehfil-e-Mushaira (poetry event) titled “Aik Shaam Urdu Kay Naam” at Marriot Hotel, Kathmandu on 26 March 2021.

Mr. Himalaya Shamsher Rana, President of Nepal-Pakistan Friendship & Cultural Association was the Chief Guest on the occassion.

Famous poets/ poetesses of Nepal & Pakistan including Mr. Imtiaz Wafa (President Urdu Academy, Nepal), Mr. Jamshed Ansari, Mr. Abdul Mobeen Khan (Saqib Harooni), Mr. Sahar Mehmood, Ms. Sakeena Khan, Ms. Sheetal Kadambani (from Nepal) and Mr. Syed Khalid Mohsin & Mr. Asad Kamran, (from Pakistan) attended the programme.

          At the end of the programme, Mr. Syed Haider Shah, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal distributed “Appreciation Certificates” among the poets/poetesses.

          The event was organized while observing all relevant health safety guidelines by the Nepal Government.
